68 Highfield Street
Moncton, NB

68 Highfield Street was purpose-built in 1948 to house the YMCA for the City of Moncton. With the opening of the new YMCA in 2004, the ‘old Y’ became surplus. The Ashford Group purchased the property in 2007, envisioning a ‘re-purposing’ of the Building’s unique layout. The second- floor gymnasium area was re-worked to become the new home and studio of the Atlantic Ballet Theatre Company, while the former pool area was transformed into a multi-level open concept office space, and the company headquarters for The Ashford Group. The extensive renovations through-out included new roofs, all new HVAC system, an elevator, new electrical and plumbing systems, as well as new fire alarm systems, while retaining the exterior architectural features of the property.
Consisting of (+/-) 21,500 square feet over two (2) floors, the Building is well located in the Central Business District (CBD) of the City of Moncton, on the corner of Highfield and Gordon Streets, one block north of Main Street.
